The Lane in Santa Cruz is always a fun and challenging spot to surf. The powerful, yet mushy take off at middle peak, the thick crowds and thick kelp, the frigid water and rocky shoreline create a unique surfing experience. This week, I made peace with the cold water and had a great time surfing the Lane while Japanese filmmaker, Yuji, shot footage from the cliff above.
